Forum Noob
Hi everyone,
Im new to the forum and this probably isn't the best way for me to start off, but i've been struggling with the YLOD on my PS3.
When I bought it, the console was still unopened. It produced errors indicating overheating, loud fan, turned off after a few minutes.
I disassembled, cleaned and with special care performed the CELL and RSX delid. I cleaned it and got firss MX4 thermal paste.
Unfortunately, almost nothing changed after assembly. I installed Evilnat CFW and Webman on it so that I could monitor the temperatures.
Sometimes the console would not turn on, but if it turned on I could play GTA5 for about 5-10 minutes before YLOD. All temperatures were fine, both CELL and RSX were below 60°C when the console turned off.
The console was physically cool and the fan was also running quietly.
After the delid I didn't see any damage on either the CELL or the RSX. I've attached a picture.
All NEC Tokin are still original, untouched.
