PS3 PS3 freezes during file system restore

I was trying to delete a corrupted homebrew app when I flipped on gameDATA mode in webmanMOD. I went into safe mode to restore the file system, but when it takes me back and starts to restore, the PS3 freezes and I have to manually unplug the console. Can I get out of this or am I finally bricked?

Yes it works but none of the options work. they either freeze or just stays stuck on "Preparing.."

Go into your HDD0:/game folder and look for folders that are out of place. Manually delete them then reboot and run file system check from CFW Tools or @DeViL303 Ultimate Toolbox. This should fix it unless your HDD is going out and has bad sectors.

First take out hdd hard disk from your ps3 device
then format your hard disk with pc
at last on ps3 system reinstall new official firmware to fix your problem
and jailbreak your ps3

Yeah I did that, the folder wasn't even there anymore yet it appeared on the xmb as corrupted data.
