• This application downloads PS3 and PSP/PSVita game updates and patches.

Features

• Support concurrent queued downloads. new feature!
• The title id field accepts many formats of title id (eg: title id with/without dash, content id, URL of pkgs, etc).
• Search updates by name of the game.
• The title id field also accepts the path of GAMES or the IP of the PS3 (to scan multiple games).
• Show game patches 3.56+ in a different color (pink).
• Auto-detects game patches already downloaded (search in PS3_UPDATE, PS3_EXTRAS, and in the default download path) and show them in gray.
• Asks for confirmation to download patches 3.56 or higher. Required firmware version is appended to the name of the file.
• Show game cover and game description even if the game does not have updates.
• Auto-fix downloaded PKGs that required firmware 3.60

Bad news, I'm hosting there a lot of homebrew stuff that can look suspicious for them.

PS. I updated ps3tools news, and resource with your links. Added them as a mirror.

Aldo does your tool has a fallback option when Sony pulls down their servers (in case of PS3 end of life) so that the updates are still stored somewhere? A mirror of all the updates?

No...but it can be added if someone makes a centralized mirror for the thousands of gigabytes needed for the update files.

Maybe you're willing to pay the thousands of dollars monthly needed to provide this service when the PS3 life cycle ends

The reason why I posted here first is because:
1) I found this thread through Google and was desperate for help
2) I didn't know about that other thread

Therefore, I humbly request a moderator to delete my comment in this thread since it seems I can't.
Again, my apologies for reviving an old thread. I'm still new to this whole forum thing.

Anyway, I wrote a reply to yours in that other thread. It is currently awaiting moderator approval.
(I'm guessing it will be approved faster than this one, since this one was written after.)

Install the Visual Basic 5 Runtime DLLs. Otherwise you will receive an error related to MSVBVM50.DLL.

Not your issue, but another frequent error is solved turning off DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for the executable.

i think for some game like gta5 you need to install all update, depending on some game

All the packages need to be installed in order from older to newer. If you install them out of order the game may not work or have unexpected results./

@aldostools First off I just want to say thank you for holding down the ps3 scene all these years! You truly are one of the top contributors to the scene. I did just want ask, since I know everyone is kind of in a frenzy right now with pending server shutdowns (including myself), do you by chance have an update planned for the Game Updater to bring it to 4.87 CFW or even just allow for it to use standard updates? trying to get my ducks in a row just to be sure I can preserve my collection going forward
