PS3 hard drive phat vs Super Slim?

Okay hello everyone, I'm getting back into ps3 gaming. I thought Super Slim PS3 was already hackable for CFW/rebug. Yes, I've just looked into Han exploit not much to do. I originally wanted to use Super Slim for cfw.Rebug, just to save money on the electricity and shelf space. Super Slim I believe is running 3.76 or maybe 3.86, I believe it was never updated: factory firmware.

Yes, I do have a phat PS3 running on an old rebug cfw (needs to be updated)
Mostly going to use offline gaming and patch some games. Is it possible to put a new a hard drive with cfw firmware with a few backups from the phat ps3 into the super slim to play those backup games installed or will it just not work unless Super SLIM was hackable with rebug/cfw?

The other choice would be to run OFW (don't update firmware) play games the regular legal way. Eventhough I wanted to create less shelf space and not having to insert or take out games.

I do like the design sleek-thin of the Super Slim. I do like PS3 phat shiny but too big, overheating, noisy now. I'll reply later today. I don't like the other slim ps3 design cause of the shape of it.

yes you can put the hdd from fat to superslim but no the stuff on it will not work in superslim because the hdd is encrypted to one system and superslim will not read it. you must format it and use it as new hdd. it does not work like in pc.
