The Logo which starts on Boot usually says 'PS3'. But when HEN activates, it says 'PS3 HEN' on boot.

Thats pretty weird because it always gives that logo on startup now even if HEN remains deactivated.

The PS3 coldboot logo is replaced in /dev_flash during the installation of HEN.

That's why you always get the PS3 HEN logo. As HEN is activated from XMB after boot and disabled when the system restart, there is no way to show that logo only when HEN is activated.

If you don't like the new logo, you can restore the original logo replacing the coldboot.raf in /dev_blind/vsh/resource with the original coldboot.raf found in the zip attached.

Thanks alot for this explanation. Makes sense. I guess ill stick with it for the time being as it doesnt affect anything. But i do miss seeing that original PS3 logo though.

Sorry for coming back to this issue. Ive finally made up my mind about reverting that ugly HEN coldboot logo to the original. I just have HEN enabled and dont see a dev_blind directory in my multiman. I only see a dev_rewrite. Do i require CFW for this step or is HEN enough to do the job and i can drop my coldboot.raf file in the dev_rewrite/vsh/resource filepath?

I'm pretty sure dev_rewrite is the hen equivalent of dev_blind.

You are correct. I just did what i mentioned above and it works. Back to the good old original logo.
