PS3 PS3 Hi I need some help with PS3XPAD and my DS4

Hi and sorry to post this here in the welcome forum but I can only post here. I need some helps with getting my DS4 working with PS3XPAD on my HEN PS3.
I've gone through what I believe to be all the required steps to get this working:
  • Add necessary line to boot_plugins
  • resigned sprx to 3.55
  • Added the plugin to hdd/dev0
  • Added device ID to xpad_devices
  • pressed the reset button on DS4 (i'm trying to use it wired)
After doing that when I try to enable HEN while it does enable XPAD itself it gives a "Failed Registering XPAD device PID: 0x54c, VID:0x9cc" (note this error message has swapped my VID and PID but I had them in the correct orientation in the txt and I flipped them around in the txt but the DS4 didn't work with the hotkey combo) trying to use the hotkey combo to open the settings menu doesn't work and I have quadruple checked now that I entered the correct ID info (was the only controller connected to my PC). I'm just kinda at a loss at this point.

**I tried to reenter the same vid pid info after messing around and now when I enable HEN it no longer gives the error but instead as soon HEN starts the DS4 stops working all together even as general direct input device and even after unplugging and plugging in the controller it doesn't work. Not sure of what to make of this.

it will work mostly without the plugin just by plugging it in. no home button, but you can use webman commands (sent from your phone for example) to simulate pressing the home button.

IIRC it is still somewhat limited with plugin. no rumble or audio on some controllers i think. what do you want the plugin to do?

this thread has some info and the last post talks about a hardware dongle that works without the plugin.
 
if you have webman mod running, you can type in the IP address of your ps3 followed by /pad.ps3?<psbtn> from your phone or computer on the same wifi/network as ps3. (in the web browser).

example: http://192.168.1.12/pad.ps3?<pstbn>
