PS3 Ps3 internet speeds

Sorry If this was already answered but I couldn't find any solution:love heart:
My internet speed is 50Mbps download and 4Mbps upload but on my ps3 with the ethernet cable I only get 6.5Mbps download and 1.5Mbps upload I know that the ps3 is an old system but I should at least get 10Mbps download.

As far as I understand, there's nothing you can do if you still do not get faster download and upload speeds on your PS3.

Nope as Sony hindered the speeds in firmware 4.30+ and it is why I keep a copy of Rebug 4.21.2 modified by haxxxen on my System Update Debug folder.

I doubt they did it on purpose, it could be the result of added kernel code, a kernel vulnerability fix, the addition of a mutex lock/unlock, something like that.
I don't think anyone tested network speeds directly at LV1 or LV2 levels, ONLY at userland level, those lower levels tests may help get a better understanding. Kernel code reversing of fw 4.21 and 4.30 may also be needed to know for sure.
