In version v1.43.22 an added ability was added for PS2/PSP ISO you have stored on your external or /net locations, while you can not play these external media types, this update will however display the stored content with an Auto-Copy feature that when mounted from those external locations will then copy to your internal drive for play. Also in this update [break]ss[/break] the developer has provied a workaround solution for mounting the 2nd PSX ISOs without a freeze issues that some titles have presented from an NTFS drive, view the latest details and additional explanation of the workaround Aldo has found in the details and links provided below:

Changes for webMAN MOD v1.43.22

  • Added the ability to auto-copy to the internal hdd the PS2 ISO mounted from /dev_usb00x or /net, and PSP ISO mounted from /net
  • PSPISO and PS2ISO are now shown on game list (XMB/HTML) for /dev_usb00x and /net drives
  • Changed the message shown when a game is mounted:
    • Formerly it first showed: "Game xxx" loaded. Then proceeded to mount the game.
    • Now it shows the path being mounted, proceed to mount the game, then show: "Game xxx" loaded.
  • Miscellaneous minor bug fixes

Joonie, I have found a work around for the issue mounting the 2nd psx iso from ntfs. It is not an elegant solution, since the issue is still present in webMAN's source code, but at least it works.

The work around is that now the psx isos from ntfs are started using Estwald's raw_iso.sprx (like IRISMAN). However, it will only work for the webMAN editions that have the flag FAKEISO enabled (i.e. all the sprx in webMAN MOD's updater except the Lite edition) and the plugin raw_iso.sprx must be installed as one of the following paths:
Code:
                      const char raw_iso_sprx[4][40] = {  "/dev_flash/vsh/module/raw_iso.sprx",
                                        "/dev_hdd0/raw_iso.sprx",
                                        "/dev_hdd0/plugins/raw_iso.sprx",
                                        "/dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/sprx_iso" };
If the plugin is not installed, the game will be mounted via webMAN as usual (with the eventual freeze after launch the 2nd psx iso mounted on ntfs).

Known issue: The bug is still present for the PSX games launched via netiso.

What an awesome update!
Where do I get the raw_iso sprx?
And I just stick that in one of those locations and it works?
Thanks aldo for the psx fix and the ps2iso thing is also too.

The updated raw_iso.sprx is included in the pkg installer & it should install (it might depend on the type of installation though, Lite, Full.... Check the details posted by aldo in the wMM main thread).

If you want to manually place it in a particular location then there are various ways to get a hold of the sprx file.

1. Install the latest updater & you will find the file in the installer folder (in /dev_hdd0/game/UPDWEBMOD/USRDIR).

2. You could also extract it from the pkg file on your PC using a pkg extractor (an opportunity to try the latest pkg ripper tool from Rudi!).

3. The file is also included in the source code RAR file available for download on aldo's website.

Thanks, but I missed the part that says it's still not fixed for netiso which is how I use it.
But thanks for the reply.

It just a workaround based on Estwald's raw_iso.sprx for games placed in a NTFS device. However, iirc, raw_iso.sprx doesn't have support for netiso. So, my guess is that for network games it uses the old webMAN approach. [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] correct me if I am wrong.

ntfs isos and netiso still use the original approach. Only PSX isos on ntfs now will use raw_iso.sprx if it's available, otherwise the will be mounted with the internal rawseciso.

The internal rawseciso module was also updated to include the same features of raw_iso.sprx (but for some reason only the external raw_iso.sprx fixes the bug).

The part that Bad Jester didn't understand is that starting a 2nd PSX iso over netsvr still could result in a black screen/freeze...

ntfs isos and netiso are mounted in a similar way, and the issue with PSX may have a relation, but I haven't found the exact cause.
