hii so i formatted my ps3 hdd yesterday and it wouldn't start anymore so i thought a update file will work but it doesn't because it hangs on 98% (preparing) could somebody pleaze help me (my ps3 isn't jailbroeken)

Go to your flash memory and then reinstall the official firmware.

Well he is having issue trying to install firmware, so advising to install firmware wont help..

I would say he should check his PUP, USB drive and his HDD, if it is failing in the preparing stage (copying PUP to HDD) then it must be one of those, as it has not even started installing yet.
