PS3 ps3 random freeze after ssd installation

I mounted a 256GB integral SSD in my PS3 Slim 2504B
but now I get random freezes both in the game and in the XMB the problem is there with both OFW and CFW the temperatures are OK cpu 67c gpu 55c
I don't know if it's possible for an SSD to cause these problems, the PS3 had been off for a year so I turned it on for 1 minute to see if it worked, then I replaced the thermal paste and installed the SSD also for some reason the bluray player started up again to work, this PS3 was purchased with the player not working and last year it never worked so I don't know what happened, can a faulty BD player create this problem?
 
Can I switch between SSD and HDD without having to reinstall the firmware again?

No, you would need to reinstall the PUP. The NOR flash on a slim is 16MB in size so the firmware files are stored on the HDD since they cannot fit onto the flash storage.

If I have 2 HDDs with the same CFW but different games and software, can't I change from one to the other? do I have to format the HDD every time?

I think when you remove a drive and put another one in, it will prompt for a reformat before the drive can be used. I am not 100% sure on this, however as I have never done it and cannot remember exactly how it works from what I've read.

I believe it's an anti-piracy measure by Sony, to stop people from taking a hard drive with a load of games on it and using it. So I don't think you can swap between hard drives and use them without needing to format each time. Others can hopefully confirm this, maybe @Berion himself can shed some light on this for you.
 
I put the hdd back in now I have another problem... Sometimes when I start a game or when I exit the xmb game the PlayStation turns off without any sound and the red LED is off, by pressing once The power button returns to the red LED. By pressing the button again, the PlayStation turn on
 
@Coldheart2236 Anti-piracy measure is encrypting drive. Well, kind off. X360 and XBO does not encrypting HDD, locking it to specific console or locking via ATA Password. And piracy on them not exist in form of putting data from outside to those HDD because contents are secured in different way, and thank to that it does not annoy users by useless obstacles.

When You remove one drive and put another of course it must be formatted. The question is if or when PS3 not want format it if drive is already formatted and encrypted by target console and drive was already assigned to that console. And here are mixed reports. Because in some cases user can freely swap between example two drives, and in other, PS3 not allow that and want format it. This is not matter of NAND vs NOR issue, or VFLASH fw issue.

Ah okay, I get it now I think. Assuming both drives are 'married' to that console with ERK after being formatted, you can swap them out once CFW, backups etc are loaded...sometimes. If it's inconsistent, then I wonder why sometimes it demands formatting the drives sometimes but not always.
 
Disk is not encrypted by ERK but by keys calculated from it (ATA Key for NAND models and ATA Key + VFLASH Key for NOR models).

after further tests and after connecting the SSD to the PC I discovered that the PS3 broke the SSD somehow there are 10 sectors pending and I can't format it on the PC
