PS3 PS3 Slim 20xxB temp questions

Hello,

I have been testing my PS3 and noticed the CELL will normally be around 70c (or higher) in any game.

It is a 20xx with the 45nm CELL and 65nm RSX. The RSX isn't an issue for me as it normally sits around 58 to 60 something under stress. (I think I saw it up to 65, but I was mostly paying attention to the CELL during gaming)

I ran out of time last night with testing, so I was only able to do temp testing on the XMB.
Later today, I will be running tests with every game I own with recording the fan speed and temp every 5 minutes.

Below, I will attach an image of my temp tests on the XMB.
My guess is the thermal paste between the IHS and die is starting to dry out on the CELL, causing these temps.

I do run with the Auto2 setting with WebMAN-Mod, but I don't know if I should keep it.

I spent a few hours reading through forum posts about these temp issues, but I can't find any with the 20xx and CELL. I did see the eraser trick post, but I only read up to about page 7.

My final question is, are these normal temps for the 20xx? I'm guessing it's not, as the fan also normally gets to 50+ speed during gaming. I also have repasted it less than a year ago.

Ok, wow, that's a lot. Sorry for whoever is reading all of this, it's a mess. I tried to format it a little bit so it's not one big clump.

I will end up posting again later after I do some more testing with games.

check thermal paste, if good consider a delid. slims should run around 60~65° at 28% also consider there's a delta of 8° when warmed up when the normal is 1 to 2° maybe 3° depending on the game. try gran turismo 6 to really stress the console and have a realistic reading

Alright, when I start testing, I will do some tests with GT6

Just finished doing and writing down the test results from testing GT6.

Should I consider a delid? It would need to be something I would need to invest in as I don't have the tools to do it myself and I ain't buying a dead console just to test on. Are there any good services I could send it to? I don't want to spend $100+ on doing this.
