everytime i open a game, it says ´´there is not enough available space in the hdd. press the ps button to return to the xmb menu. you can restart the game after freeing 5mb of space in the hdd.´´ the issue is, i have 27 gb of free space in my hdd. how do i fix this? (it was working yesterday)

In my opinion, it'd be worth it to test a game you'd install to the console on a freshly formatted system. Now you'd obviously have to back up your saves to USB which is really easy, but I would personally give that a shot.

I should also mention that maybe your ps3 is having issues properly displaying the amount of storage space you have, and you may have so much installed to the point it's causing problems. But I don't think this is possible and or a factor, but just a shot in the dark i guess.

Some games have troubled with free disk space count. Like eg. "Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction". There is no clear solution for that, for me helped writing some data to HDD. ;]

Or You can install it on another console and move cache/patches/dlcs to Yours. Plus rebuilding database after that.
