PS3 PS3 Toolset Down?

Hello all, first time poster.

Finally found the time to sit down and jailbreak my PS3 I got my hands on. Anddddd it appears PS3 Toolset is down. Any insight on this?

There was a hacking incident and we are working to resolve it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, bguerville is out of town and we have to wait to get access.

Are there any alternatives for patching the PS3s in the meantime? I can use a flasher, but I'm not aware of any ROS patches for 4.92 on Slims

Hey Guys, I'm curious, how plausible is it to make the toolset self-hostable? Like stick it in a docker container? Is there a technical reason not to do that?

@bguerville has stated many times already that he is not going to release his tool for the time being, so don't bother him.

Good to know. Thanks. I was curious what the reasoning was but it appears to remain a mystery for now.

Would be a shame if he ever got hit by a bus and we lost the ability to jailbreak.

at first, because it wasn't finished (still isn't)...then certain people tried to steal it and blamed him for making them do it. basically, it is his (even if he shares access to it) and we are lucky to get to use it.

there is code in webman mod to do the flashing (using HEN of course). there is also the old html flasher. it only needs offsets updated and a new patch for 4.92 crafted.

Thanks for the insight. I'm new to all of this so I don't know the history. I'll take a look for the html flasher. I'm curious to see how it works.

I'm fascinated by all the effort the community has put into this.

There was another homebrew, HEN Flash Patcher developed by @kostirez1, but unfortunately was never released as it required deep testing on many consoles, and hardware flashers in order to recover.

Brother, just relax. Patience. The guy who made the tool is out of town as said earlier in this thread. The PS3 is 20 years old - you can wait a few more days.
