Ps3 update error 8002F14E

So recently i bought PS3 fat CECHC04 with ylod reflow it and worked but assembly part was little complicated this update error is most dedicated to blue ray drive so i broke thi clip that connects blue ray flat to motherboard and tapped it but it was moving so i just assesembled the way it is turn on consoley blue ray acting clicky and when i try too jailbreak to install hfw 4.88.1 it goes to 99% and error pops up with code 8002F14E

the blueray drive must be connected during update on that model. you can install NoBD cfw but it is very limited. you won't be able to use iso (jb folder only) and no ps2 games among other problems.

Do you have any solution how should i connect it even tho i broke the clip
 
I got the exact same problem marko - the clip (and also the holder) broke so i thought "ok lets flash that no-bd 4.89 evilnat firmware" - it started flashing and now it always stops at 50-60% in a loop no matter how often i try with same error code in title; error gets caused because of disconnected bluray. Also it doesnt boot up to the former firmware anymore - it just hangs at boot in a "flash loop" always stopping at 50-60%.

Are our PS3s screwed now or is there a solution ?

make sure you downloaded NoBD and not NoBT. you can just check the md5 to be sure.

if there is an error code, what is it?

that is the code for broken bd so nobd should install. it should work if you have the correct pup file, so i'm not sure what you can do at this point.

nobd is limited anyway (no iso, no ps2, etc) so repair is always advised in the end. if it can not be repaired, it might be a good idea to get another ps3 instead.
