To anyone that is asking for PS2 Classic Launcher support: Meanwhile, I don't really know what developers refers to this anotation, I managed it to work with webMAN and PS3HEN 2.0.2.
If you try to use *.ISO files on PS2ISO it won't work, maybe only usefull for Old 20GB/60GB PS3 hardware/hybrid retrocompatible models. Your PS3 -mostly- does not support run PS2 ISO images.
If you want to use PS2 Classic Images, you need to have:
- PlayStation 2 Classic Placeholder PKG installed, you can find it in PKG folder of PS2Classics. This is a homebrew PKG, if PKG fails to install, you may need to sign it with rifgen. Remember you need to sign and install .RAP for PS2U10000 from ps2classics\exdata to execute.
- A PS2 ISO and transform it to BIN.ENC. Output filename is *.enc. You can use PS2Classics GUI or Multiman (multiman crashes on HEN couse conflicts with HEN's miniCobra) to encode PS2 to BIN.ENC.
- Put the *.ENC file into /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/. Don't bother trying external, it will made a UNIX ln from PS2 Classic PlaceHolder to the *.ENC file and might totally not work.
Reboot the system, re-entrer HEN and use webMAN to load the .ENC file.
- If there's missing Memory Card in the game, this is really missing on PS2Classics Placeholder PKG. You need to copy both VME slots from ps2classics\PS2U10000\USRDIR\SAVEDATA to your /dev_hdd0/home/[ProfileID]/ps2emu2_data/PSU210000/
Note: This is not the best anyway to use PS2 Classic Emulator. If a game needs a specific patch, homebrew or Official, it will anyway to be installed as Standalone PKG game.
