PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

Just get PS3HEN.BIN and stackframe_HDD.bin, rename it to stackframe.bin and send them to the HDD (hen folder).

@Joonie Can you add dev_hdd0:/exdata support for licenses?
Rif gets permenantly installed to the system when you boot the application. Why'd you need hdd0 support?

As I said before the "Soft Reboot" option errors out to the "insert controller and press the PS button" screen if HEN is enabled or not, the others only error out to this screen if HEN is not enabled, but according to ShaolinAssassin nothing I do should display this screen and instead should show a error code if I was to understand him correctly. My PS3 is a CECH-4001B if that maters at all.

UPDATE:
So apparently after a about a dozen reboots the "Soft Reboot" option is working as it should with HEN enabled now. I don't know it "fixed" itself, but it's working with HEN enabled now at least. The only problem left is with the error page that it takes you to if HEN is not enabled. Again, I was under the impression that it was supposed to dispaly an error code if HEN was not enabled if you tried to run one of those commands, but this is not happening for me. Any ideas?
Online html is the base, set standards. It will show error on hen failure, won't hang console if stackframe.bin missing.
To use online one:
1.get hen release files
2.use han enabler to install HEN support files
3.put stackframe and hen bin on usb000
4.activate hen using online html
5.bookmark page and set as homepage to load every boot easily

Like I say that's normal if HEN is not enabled. The plugin that handles those options is called xai_plugin.sprx..it will not work without HEN enabled as it is not signed by Sony... So it will kick to recovery if you try to use it as the system thinks it's corrupt. There is no way to show any pop ups on the system without HEN enabled, so you will not see any pop up.

Thanks for the the replies, I guess I was just confused as to why I was getting what I thought was a different result than others were getting when using those options if HEN was not enabled. I see this is the expected result now.

I also updated my last post with a suggestion that having a "HEN Enabled" notification would help users avoid such issues in the future. Ofcoure if you have Webman Mod installed it will notify you that HEN is working, but this is for those of us who do not have Webman Mod on their system. Just a suggestion.

Run the application. When you start application which requires rap it will look in usb000/usb001
YOU MUST HAVE ONE ACCOUNT WITH PSN ACTIVATION DONE!
So to make things clear, you put RAPs on USB drive, start the application that needs that RAP, HEN installs the license and that's it? I guess that after this you don't need to have the USB plugged in anymore, right?

I want to transfer the licenses to the HDD and patch them from there. Some people dont want to use the USB drive at all (i use one of the ports for gamepad and the other for double fan base).

PS2 Launcher is a Homebrew where you can mount encrypted ISO files and swap them out as needed. No need to make a PKG for each game. The tools to encrypt are in the Ps3tools to do this. Plain ISO files do not work. PS2 Launcher is kinda like a PS2 game manager. There is tons of documents that can describe how this works better then I can here in our forums by using the search function.

I dont understand , i need aldos tool ps2 calssic or another program could u explain more which tool to use???

My PS3 CECH 3004 gets shutdown without red light LED (2 clicks needed to boot the ps3) when I run a PS2 game classic. I have PS3HEN v2.0.2

I open the game in the xmb and no copyright message appears now :), but when it starts loading the PS3 shutdowns.

The RAP is inside the exdata folder in the usb...

Guys you can use multiman mode to encrypt PS2ISO to .enc.bin and mount them to ps2 classics launcher

I think webman supports it too. But no direct iso support and no config support in them

I'm not finding the Homebrew. Would you be so kind to share the link of it? Thank you

Try repair file system and rebuild database. I had this error before and a format of the HDD made it work again BUT let's try to avoid this. I'm using a 3000 and works great now.
