Sorry if it's a silly question, but ever since HAN was released I wondered if it'd work to apply the react patch to vsh and restore an act.dat backup afterwards. Suppose it doesn't matter unless your unlucky enough to buy a banned console(fraud?) or Sony releases a patch to change PSN keys, block old WebKit, and patch whatever dark magic HEN is using.
 
Don't know how i got to this point, but for some reason Hybrid Firmware Tools doesn't show after enabling HEN with webMAN MOD plugin disabled.
When i re-enable webMAN MOD in boot_plugins.txt and then reboot the console and re-enable HEN, that's when Hybrid Firmware Tools shows up.

Iv'e been able to recreate this every time. Hybrid Firmware Tools just wont show up unless I have qwebMAN MOD enabled

Even when you exit user session and come back ? You need to refresh XMB - and that's what webman does.
 
Also, a separate problem (if its a problem)

I'm using an NTFS formatted USB HDD, don't really need it, just testing and troubleshooting for my guide. But I noticed that once the console has been rebooted and HEN enabled, I get errors when trying to mount games from NTFS USB with webMAN MOD. The only remedy is to run prepNTFS and the games can then be mounted with webman MOD again...

I was under the impression that prepNTFS only had to be run when new games where added to the NTFS drive so they can be indexed or cached or something....

No, actually.
If I switch user accounts Hybrid Firmware shows up again.

So, just for my understanding.
Hybrid Firmware Tools will only show after an XMB refresh.
This can be achieved by exiting user session and then returning.

Maybe HEN can be updated to allow for this refresh? Not everyone uses webMAN MOD (even though a huge portion of people do) so this might come up as an issue often

For me I need to do no refresh, it's instant and it does not need wmm from what I have read. I am not home to check now.

Maybe delete your dev_hdd0/hen folder and install the latest hen package again. There could be xmls left over from previous installs.

Deleted HEN folder and reinstalled latest through package manager and rebooted.
Still no Hybrid Firmware Tools after enabling HEN

Webman was included into a previous beta. Did you remove all traces of it ? That could explain why you don't need to refresh XMB while we have to.

Well yeah, I have WebMAN installed. But other users reported that they did not use webman and it still auto appeared.

Note its instant for me, webman is not using any reload xmb apps. If this is only due to webMAN then its another great reason to use webman.

Installing this empty pkg should also cause xmb queries to be rechecked (if they have not already loaded an xml)

Not sure if it will work in this remap situation though.

in what I've attached I changed the category for in-game and network installation

The new HEN will fix this problem. It's being tested now as I had this issue but not anymore. Kinda neat new feature incoming.
 
Hey guys,

Weird question, I saw mentioned in this thread (can't find it now) that webmanmod 1.47.20 won't wait 10sec to notify being enabled anymore, rather it should happen quicker. Does anyone know how to fix this? Mine still waits the 10sec. It's only annoying because if I enable hen and then go to select a game, the notification will pop up and kick me out of the game folder and then I have to go look for my game again.

I'm on hen 2.1.1 and using webmanmod 1.47.20.

I started the PS3 again, enabled Han and want to try again, however, multiman now doesn't open anymore.
Only a black screen.
Tried black box, also black screen, open ftp 4.2, also black screen, webman and managunz file manager seems to be working normally.
Tried uninstalling multiman, and reinstall it, nothing changed, I went through the license agreement and then black screen again.

Any tips?
