Steps how to Install HEN if you didn't nothing in your PS3:

1- Extract it and copy all your extracted files to the root of your USB.
2- After you have all these extract files in your USB Root, unplug to PC and Plug in Right USB Port to your PS3
3- Make sure that your PS3 is turned off and go into recovery mode (there is several videos in YT how to)
4- Click on System Update (PS3 will read your update file HFW) Accept the terms
5- After installed successfully your PS3 will restart, you won't see nothing different yet (don't unplug USB yet)
6- Go TO PS3 Browser and type this address http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)/ then you will see a white bar with many options.
7- Go to v3 HAN Tools click on HAN installer it will open a new tab
8- Mark it as Initial Page then delete cache, history, cookies, authentication information etc...
9- Leave PS3 Browser and enter again
10 - it will be open on that page you marked as Initial Page, and click on Initialize HAN installer and then click on Launch HAN Installation and your PS3 will restart automatically.
11- After Restart your PS3 will have a new Folder in XMB Game Section Package Manager (that's not all yet)
12- Go to PS3 Browser again, type http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)/ again then go to PS3HEN -> 4.84 HFW -> Enable HAN Rewrite Flash it will open a new tab
13 - It will say Enabling HAN & Mounting flash as /dev_rewrite/ it should ask to close the Browser, if not you should put it as Initial Page and delete all that things as in Step 8 and Open PS3 Browser again.
And it will open that tab and it should ask for close the Browser and confirm.
14 - After that Go to Package Manager -> Install Package Files -> and install that File HEN 2.2.2484C.pkg
15 - Restart PS3 manually and it reboot to new Egg Logo, but don't worry I can send a PKG to Stock Logo again
16- Go to Game Section XMB select HEN Everytime you want to enable the jailbreak, if want the multiMAN install it (it included on zip file that I sent you)
You can only use jailbreak apps only when enable HEN. Otherwise if you Launch multiMAN without enable HEN, it will give a code error.

These steps are old and too complicated... Better use the Auto Install method.

I remembered an old trick i used when getting the same error installing hfw on my 2001a before cfw and it was everyone was saying PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP but i remember it wouldnt work on my 2001a either so i tried PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT and boom it worked on my 3001a hfw/hen and my 2001a/cfw might not work for all but it worked on two different models with no problem I know this is a hen post but i wanted to chime in on what held me up now i can go on with my 3001a project

You didn't rename the PS3UPDAT.PUP correctly. The extension was hidden so when you renamed it became PS3UPDAT.PUP.PUP INSTEAD!
 
I think this is a bug on Hen 2.3.0. it freeze when enabling with disabled network connection. So far no black screen when using other homebrew with webman mod installed.
 
Trying to run HEN 2.3.0 from USB (not installed on USB, just PS3HEN.BIN file on the flash drive) I always get this behavior: First time I try to run HEN it fails then the console reboots with 'HEN failed' message in red. If i try to run it again the PS3 freezes. This doesn't happen with 2.2.2.

I made sure I used the correct file from developers files. I also tried BIN file from normal release.

EDIT: In short. If the console is offline, HEN crashes.

New Update Released Finally!!!! I will do it after work, Someone is still facing black screen problems after this update when webMAN MOD is activated then launching multiMAN? Let me know ;)
