Payload (main.c)

A small question about the hen_enable.xml. The file is now located at /dev_hdd0 and symlinked to /dev_flash.
Does ist mean that after a format of hdd, hen can't enabled anymore.
In such case it would be better to use /dev_flash as a location.[/QUOTE]

Correct, when you replace your HDD you will lose boot_plugins.txt and no webMAN would be there so you can start everything from scratch without any crashing issue. Make sure you install the latest webMAN MOD that supports 4.90 FW
Some psx doesnt run why?

I have another question.
In the new category_game.xml of HEN 3.20 there is the section <!— HEN Enabler Default Flash —>
.
.
src="xmb://localhost/dev_flash//hen/xml/hen_enable.xml#hen_xmb"
.

Why are there two // after /dev_flash ?

Sorry for the questions, but i only want to understand your work.

Hello masters, how are you?

I'm trying to access the ps3xploit.me website to perform the process on my console, but when accessing it, the message appears that the server has been brought down.

Can you please help me?

:grenade:

Congratulations to those involved in this incredible work, especially to esc0rtd3w.

Thank you very much!

The double / is to avoid a system panic, if a query is pointing to flash and the file is missing the system will panic and go to recovery mode.

In this case this file doesn't exist when system boots, so adding the double / fools the system, this method was discovered by @DeViL303. This XML is mapped later by hen_plugin.sprx

Either bad rom or not compatible.

make sure your roms are not re-dumped with multi track audio. Also this is an thread for HFW. If some psx don't run on HFW then they would not run on OFW either. Post your issues elsewhere if that's not an issue with HFW
Before it runs well on 4.89 and now its cashed (on 4.90), i try to change the iso Ntsc an Pal version but nothing, i've tried to convert it to pkg it doesnt too (metal gear solid)

Unless you're talking about retail pkg or physical disc. That is an issue with HEN.

Thank you very much for your answer! :encouragement: Do you have an answer for my first question too? If hen_enable.xml is only located on /dev_hdd0, how can HEN enabled after a format of hdd?

Its a Bin/cue and iso launch via webman 4.90 an multiman , irisman 4.90 doent run psx iso too, then i've tried to follow some video on youtube to convert them to pkg , with psx2psp, pbpfix, and repaker but it doent work too, black screen and it return to xmb with error message, then i've download psx pkg from *** Official PlayStation Store ***, and its doent to install its stock on please wait (i want to play metal gear psx thats all) please help m

please post your issues on HEN thread not here. and be specific about your PSX Title you're dealing with.

HFW itself does not allow any of your things you mentioned and they are not related to HFW at all
@Coro @sandungas @Coldheart2236 @nCadeRegal can you guys help moving his posts?

You can't and you need to reinstall it.
Thank you for the answer.
Is it possible to move the hen_enable.xml back to /dev_flash or to start HEN via an external.xml on usb in case of emergancy?
I'm not sure right now if the PS3 Backup program will include the HEN Directory on /dev_hdd0

You can by editing the category_game.xml and moving the hen.enable_xml back to flash. You'll lose the ability to hide the hen item after a xmb reload.

Is there any reason why the HEN icon disappearing stuff is needed? It seems like an overcomplicated way to avoid people enabling HEN when it's already enabled. It's easier to just add a memory check in JS since HEN changes specific areas of memory. If HEN is already enabled the browser would close instead.

its better in the long run because we are going to fix the refresh at some point. I do like that idea of closing the browser if hen is already enabled though.

I find losing the ability to activate hen when the hard drive has been formated much worse than the visual plus which you get with a disappearing icon.
Unfortunately I had to format hdd a few times when I got into an endless loop because hen hung up.
But I don't want to complain, you are doing the job and it was your choice to do it that way.

Well, I would guess that formatting HDD was very drastic and probably not needed.

When you say hen hung up, are you referring to the plugin issue with boot plugins text?

Either way, reinstalling hen is simple and you would have already had data loss by formatting hard drive.
