PS3 PS3ISO:s not showing boxart in Multiman, but works in Irisman?

I have no idea how this is even possible, since from my understanding, the folder paths should be the same for both launchers? Right?

I feel like i'm going crazy, I have read through all threads I could find on the forum. I believe i have followed all the correct steps.
  • Making sure that the jpg or png has the same filename as the ISO (except extension)
  • Making sure that the image size is correct following Sandugas excellent guide.
  • Making sure that the cover image is located in the same root folder as the ISO (in my particular case internally within the HDD PS3ISO folder).
  • I have also tried to rename and create duplicate the cover files with the correct ISO ID name and put them in the cover folder within Multiman.
  • An inportant note is that multiman doesn't download the boxart automatically either for my ISO-based game, but I figure that's because my ISO files are not named with the game ID within brackets.
What am I missing here? Do you have to have the boxart in the respective ISO-folder and within the covers folder in multiman? As mentioned above, what doesn't make sense is that the covers are clearly visible in Irisman. :concern:

multiMAN, webMAN MOD and IRISMAN share many common features like paths, covers, etc.

However, they are not exactly the same. multiMAN has some features that are more restricted compared to IRISMAN or webMAN MOD.

In multiMAN the PS3ISO covers should be named like the ISO, but with the extension changed.
- /dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/my game.ISO
- /dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/my game.JPG
- or /dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/my game.PNG

If I recall correctly multiMAN can find the cover by game ID in the covers database, if the ID is found at the beginning of the file name like:
- /dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/BLES12345-[my game].ISO

webMAN or IRISMAN seek also the covers by game ID if it's found in the file name enclosed in brackets.
- /dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/my game [BLES12345].ISO

The covers database can be downloaded from:
