The plugin development on the PS3 keeps heating up, Recently we have seen some new plugins, Such as the PS3 VSH Menu advancements, GameBoot Cycle Plugin, Ps3Lock Plugin, and also recent advancements in the SEN Enabler plugin that incorporated the new VSH Menu from 3141card's research. This time around we have an experimental ps3 plugin called PS3XPAD by developer OsirisX, this plugin will allow user's to use a WIRED Xbox360 controller on the PS3 Console[break]ss[/break] that is running CFW and has the ability to boot background loading plugins (i.e. Cobra CFW / PRX Loader).
This PS3 plugin should be consider experimental at this point, The official controller and also some Third-Party controllers (such as Razer Onza) are supported, There are some drawbacks obviously as there is no wireless support at this time, also rumble is not supported, then also due to the differences in the DualShock 3 and XBOX 360 controllers some games could serve problems, so be sure to report any problematic games here in the comments below:

Note: One tester (malckdaddy) has claimed that he has better results using this plugin via PRX Loader then the boot_plugin.txt (on Cobra CFW). There is not many details on this testing and no word on conditions of the testing environment , So consider that info when using this plugin and let us also know in the comments of your testing results.

This needs more testing but I made a sprx xpad driver for ps3. Not all games will work with it but most should. Currently it only supports wired Xbox 360 controllers. I may include wireless Xbox 360 & Xbox One controllers later if people are interested.
Also there is no rumble for now. (Need to find a way to grab actuator params from games). The Xbox button maps to the PS button and LEDs correspond to the port number it's connected to.
Note: Playstation DS2 and DS3 controllers have pressure sensitive buttons while Xbox 360 controllers do not. This may make some games like Metal Gear Solid unplayable. Sixaxis is obviously unsupported too.
