You can update to OFW 4.85 and then run the old ps3xploit memory patch in order to install CFW. Bear in mind that this method is not user friendly and requires you to setup a web server.

Looks like the domain is no longer blocked and is already being propagated around the world.
 
Hey bro, so I already jailbreaked a ps3 before and got my hands on another one, the other ps3 (ps3 super slim) which I had previously jailbreaked works very well with hen and multimann besides a small thing when sometimes multimann doesn't load up but that's not really my problem, I'm still at the start of the process where I need to download the files and stuff to my usb, the problem is that ps3xploit.me is not loading it says "This site can't be reached" and there's the frowning paper thing on it as well, what should I do, can you send me a direct download link or something to the exploit, I don't need any features besides multimann and hen so I just need the update please

I would give it at least 24 hours for the NS records to propagate. Once that happens, it's up to the hosting company to add the records necessary. A records should propagate much faster.

Thank you. If it is that risky I will try to install HFW+HEN... I saw some replies on previous page and seems like he explained it well. If I come across an error I will be here again :)

It's not risky, because the devs implemented lots of checks. As long as you follow every step, you can't miss!.

Here is a video tutorial from MrMario, which uses the now-defunct ps3xploit website, but you can host the flash dumper and writer yourself and replace the old website with your own hosted one.


The difficult thing here is to install and configure a web server on your computer, copy all the required files in the corresponding server folder, and then you need to expose your server so the PS3 can connect to it (most of the times this last step is not needed as the web servers configure everything during install).

But if you want to play safe, then go the HFW + HEN route.
 
Ok I can see that shit is literally hitting the fan around here with the site being down, so I will try to be brief. I just made an account to ask this question my friend gave me an old ps3 today I decided to google if it could be jailbroken my search led me to this video
. I made it to 9:51 of the video and now I'm fucked because the site is obviously down. I have no idea where to go from here and to be honest I'm tired of trying to figure this shit out ive been looking for hours and idk what any of these acronyms mean idk what hen is idk what a multiman is I just want to "copy my sims game to my hard drive for my wife to play" because my disk drive is going out. if anyone could give me some steps to get this going I would appreciate it. If not thank you for reading and I hope this community can figure out how to destroy this stupid spamhaus crap.

If your PS3 is currently on OFW 4.86+ you cannot (safely) install CFW at this time. You'll have to wait until either bgtoolset returns, Flash Writer is updated to 4.89 or HEN Flash Patcher is released. You can use HEN meanwhile, which has most (though not all) of the functionality that you get for CFW and is good enough for most use cases.
If your PS3 is currently on 4.85 (if it's lower just update it to 4.85) you can use the Flash Writer utility. It is not as straightforward as bgtoolset because it requires you to set up a web server on your local PC and install the tool on it.

Thank you for your help. I am currently on 4.89 so I guess I will just have to wait. I wasn't in a hurry anyways, I was just worried if I stopped where I was in that video that it was going to mess something up. Again thank you for your help.

Use HEN for the time being. You can switch to CFW when the option becomes available again.

I don't want to speak for lmn7, but I think that HFW Flash Writer is more likely to relase first. Most of the annoying bugs and inefficiencies are solved by now, and the code is easier to update and test. As long as the (currently untested) ROS patch works, there shouldn't be anything substantial preventing it from going to open beta soon.
 
Good morning, please after installing webman mod on my ps3 HEN, I went to webman games and when that folder opens, I only sees webman setup. there is no additional folders under it. Please help me out. This it....
 
Its been 12 days and it looks like NS propagation has stalled out.

On a side note, shouldn't the pe-aps NS's resolve to two different addresses?

That is indeed weird, but perhaps some resolvers refuse to cache the domain if the target name server responds with REFUSED?

This is sometimes used for future hardware expansion (load balancing), or when you take out the name server for a long maintenance. The web hosting company can give out multiple locations and scale up/down based on the current requirements. Without the need to manually reconfigure thousands of domains.
 
Hello, im new to this site and i was wondering does anyone know when will bgtoolset will ever return? Or the ps3xploit.me site?
