How To Use:



    • 4.82 OFW: Download SPRX Replacer ZIP archive
    • 4.84/4.85 HFW: Download SPRX Replacer ZIP archive
    • Extract the files
    • Place desired SPRX file on USB flash drive or select one of the internal HDD options**

      For VSH Modules:
    • 4.82 OFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
    • 4.84/4.85 HFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver

      For Internal Libraries:
    • 4.82 OFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
    • 4.84/4.85 HFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver

      For External Libraries:
    • 4.82 OFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
    • 4.84/4.85 HFW: Navigate to this link or use local files above and a webserver
    • Select SPRX from dropdown box to match file on USB
    • Run the exploit from page and allow console to reboot fully
    • Done! New SPRX will take effect after reboot :D
    • WARNING! THE CONSOLE MAY REBOOT TO RECOVERY IF SPRX FAILS TO LOAD!
** You can also create a package that holds resources or files to copy using Extra Tools and use this instead of USB as source. Default directories are /dev_hdd0/game/PS3XPLOIT/extras/ and /dev_hdd0/game/HANTOOLBX/files/​

yes, this is how HAN Installer works, by replacing 2 SPRX (explore_plugin.sprx & videoplayer_plugin.sprx), 2 RCO (explore_category_game.rco & explore_plugin_full.rco), and 1 XML (category_game.xml) from 4.81 DEX

as far as beyond that... go ahead and test.....now you can break your PS3 on your own :-p
 
je vois SPRX il y a un rapport avec certains mod sprx par exemple des mod menu gta v ? I speak french because i cant speak english sorry

Still on 4.81 so less chance of breaking. @habib was kinda right to stay on 4.81
 
Question too, before the most "HANTools" are only needed for ofw users, is that possible that now many options are for CFW Users?
I think for 3K models at the moment this option is not for me or? With my fat I can sig SPRX files but with 3K I can't do that or?
Same problem I have with dump, I can make a dump but no ftp connection possible that I can go to root and change it.
Sorry my english is not so good.
 
@esc0rtd3w a dumb question do we obtain the DEX SPRX files from dumping it from a DEX console or from simply extracting the DEX firmware with PUP extractor?

PS3 firmware is approx. 200MB, about 100MB of that is made up of sprx and rcos, almost everything you see on the PS3 is controlled by those 2 filetypes & xmls. So these tools have been released to allow people to load non standard files onto their system, for things like XMB mods, or for testing out DEX sprx files, or just for swapping icons.

So what do they do: everything, what does it enable: possibilities. Really though its for devs or people who like to play with their systems, these tools are not for the average user.
