Hi all

Apologise if this has been asked a thousand times
I'm new to the PS4 mod scene.

I have a PS4 pro with 9.00 FW but want to change the hdd to a 2tb ssd what is the best safest way to reinstall the os on the new drive without updating the firmware.

Offline account (user1) will be used.

It is impossible without writing firmware to new HDD. You can clone HDD but if new is larger than old, You will not getting any extra space.

Prepare update package with full OFW 9.00 on USB and run console with new HDD. And of course You will loose all games, licenses, saves, trophies, accounts, activation, settings etc. everything. Maybe You could move them from old HDD but I don't know, all depend how PFS "containering" exactly works.

Im not fussed about saves and trophies as I'll use an offline account not psn account. The main goal is not updating the FW higher than 9.
