PS3 PSN on 4.82 REBUG

Hi, just a quick question. My PS3 has REBUG 4.82 installed. You would ask why such an old version, well I haven't touched the console in a while now and thats what I must have installed when I got it. Didn't try to update yet because I don't know what would happen with my homebrew and I know that the newest version (probably since 4.89) has a graphical glitch (at least it's noticable on my other PS3 console that has the latest OFW). Am I looking for an immediate ban if I would try to log in to PSN on that old firmware, even if I have spoofed the firmware version?

You simply won't be able to log in.

If you want to log in to PSN, you will have to update to FW 4.91 as the authentication method change since version 4.82 by implementing 2FA.

don't try signing in with spoofed firmware. afaik, sony has changed the way things work on psn, and supposedly spoofed firmware can be detected now or it's very dangerous. disable the spoof (using sen enabler?), then update to the latest cfw. after that, disable syscalls, and then try to sign in using the device key. if you've been banned for whatever reason, it will say you've been suspended whenever you try to sign in; signing up with a new account will also fail at the first step iirc. this happened to me long ago.

You can simply use webMAN server redirect feature that works good but may be unsafe on lower firmwares.

Or you can patch the vsh.self + version.txt , index.dat and grab the auth_plugin.sprx from 4.91.

You might just update it to EvilNAT 4.91.
