PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

Don't work. Disabled webMAN in Toolbox, uninstalled PSN Patch Plugin.
Installed webMAN & PSN Patch Plugin over PSN Patch.

Same problem. webMAN is loaded.
Disable webMAN helps but i need it.
Its a Firmware Problem on 4.75.1 no problems.
REBUG 4.75.2 D-REX

I tried to do exactly as you posted:
- step 1: when I disable webman in rebug toolbox it reboots
- step 2: now, on psnpatch toolbox, I only have the option to remove psnpatch plugin and/or install webman plugin so I removed psnpatch plugin. It rebooted.
- step 3: as directed, installed both plugins from psnpatch toolbox. Reboot again.

No change from my previous tries. No pop-up saying PSN access blocked. For me that is the most important part (I have a 6 year old son... don't want him logging to PSN without PSNPatch activated)
 
There is a small issue with rebug 4.75.2 that difficult the loading of plugins besides webman.
Until it is solved I recommend everybody to use rebug mode, cobra, webman disabled in rebug toolbox.
Use psnpatch plugin and webman plugin from psnpatch app.
It is working as expected in my system.
Alternatively temporary use habib 4.75 spoofed to 4,76

Guys: there's no need to edit text files or copy files
Just disable webman in rebug toolbox then install from psnpatch.
It it is still failing, use psnpatch to remove both reboot install both reboot

Note: "both" are webman and psnpatch plugins.

I have tried it 4 times. Nothing happend.
webMAN loaded but PSN Patch not.
And i have installed webMAN & PSN Patch Plugin uninstalled and installed from PSN Patch.
With this method loading both.

You are doing something wrong that I cannot specify.
Edit: I'm doing exactly as I've told you and it never fails.

Anyway, this is just a temporary thing until a new rebug release.

Koko, I normally use Rebug and am about to install the new one, I'll let you know how it goes. Meaning I know you know everything is fine on psn patch end, but just so I have hands on experience to maybe tell others what they're doing wrong as well, so there's more than one person, anyway yeah.

There's a small issue in REBUG that don't allow the loading of additional plugins when webman is loaded from flash.
Simply disable that option from rebug toolbox and use psnpatch toolbox to configure plugin loading (for both psnaptch plugin and webmna plugin).

its not working i have tried this method but psn patch dont load. im on d-rex 4.75.2
and yes i have disabled webman on toolbox and installed it over psn patch.

a friend have the same problem. d-rex too.

maybe a dex problem? kokotonix you on cex?

the methode with copy file in hdd0 and edit boot_plugin works.

Install From psnpatch remove and install again.
It works on cex don't know on DEX.
Anyway there's nothing more I can go.
It is a rebug issue.

Edit: we will have to wait for a new release.

a friend tested it on another console with cex. it worked.
yes is a dex problem. on cex works you solution.

dex user solution is copy webftp_server.sprx in dev_hdd0 and edit boot_plugins.txt.
hope for 4.75.3 :)

There has been a small issue identified regarding external plugin feature (COBRA specific).
Current 4.75.2 release is pulled until 4.75.3 release.

Just to clear up situation. Current rebug release probably have problem with webman switch. If you enable dev_flash webman then it block additional plugin slots (boot_plugins.txt) FYI [MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION]

About dex problem i don't know, i don't tested it. I have no reason to go dex.

The issue has been resolved, and it doesn't have such problems like you reported. I'm reviewing other stuff as well.
 
That is why i said probably, because it looks like this. But anyway good that is resolved.

I tried your method on 2 different slim consoles (a 2104A & a 2504B) in CEX.
I followed your steps precisely & tried several times. Even reformatted the disk before full CFW install on one console to make sure the tests were valid 8n order to give you some feedback.

The PSNPatch plugin never loads up at boot time.

Strange because your steps apparently work for a few people...!?

As far as I am concerned, it doesn't really matter. Am using the workaround I described earlier, keeping the original Rebug webftp_server.sprx but placed on /dev_hdd0 instead of /dev_flash.
As if it was a non-Rebug Cobra CFW.
It works fine that way.

It's a temporary solution anyway as it seems Joonie has already solved the problem. I trust a Rebug 4.75.3 will be coming our way soon enough.

Update on my webMAN lite not detecting my games sometimes:

I noticed that there's a pattern. When i leave it shutdown overnight upon first boot webMAN loads without even looking at the USBs. I know because when it has worked (even before PSN patch) it would take awhile to load/show games under XMB>Game>WebMAN Games (cause there's so many of them). Well upon first boot they're immediately available, it shows the 1 game I have on internal, there's no loading at all meaning it didn't even look at/for USBs. If I reboot after this it will then take awhile to load and find the USBs/games. It's always after not using it for a long while (8-10 hours) it won't show games, then after if I reboot it shows the games.

I was just wondering if this may shed some lite on what it exactly is. I only have this problem with KW webMAN lite and I remember what you (koko) told me. I just wanted to run this by you and everyone else just in case this may give you (or others) a clear cut solution, rather than me recompiling/modding webMAN or using a potentially unsafe version for PSN.


BTW I'm holding off on installing Rebug 4.75.3 and have just been using a spoofer on Habib, until Rebug is definitely done with 4.75 updates (I know Joonie said they are, but I'm going to wait anyway). Hell, I may just wait for a 4.76 CFW by anyone that's stable. Looks like only FERROX has a 4.76 CFW and it hasn't been long enough to be stable in my eyes. (I mention this because in an earlier post I said I was going to install the new Rebug to help others [being I've used Rebug since its inception]).

Hello kokotonix... I hace a question... It's safe go online keeping webman loaded in memory? I always press r3 l3 r2 and it unload web man and unlock psn.
 
Wait for kokotonix answer, but i think yes is safe. I always use webman in psn enabled mode, to keep temps control.
