PS3 PSX ISO stuttering fmv and audio

When I boot PSX isos on an external sata hdd the fmvs and audio stutter. But when booting them from the internal HDD it works normally. I have already defragmented the external HDD and the problem persists.

Config:

PS3 CFW 4.90

External HDD 5400rpm

ntfs file system

ps1_netemu

webMAN MOD 1.47.45

Don't know if you fixed the issue, but you could use ManaGunZ or IRISMAN to boot the games and see if the problem it's fixed.

Games on external HDD using NTFS/exFAT/ext2/ext3/ext4 have an extra overhead because all the read operations are made through the plugin rawseciso. This intermediary could cause stuttering on some games.

I suggest that check if using ps1_emu works better for that game or try playing it from external HDD formatted in FAT32.
