PSX NTSC to PAL Sound Issues - Need Help

I'm trying to play NTSC based PSX PKG files, (crafted from the original PSX Files and other sources such as PSX Classics PKGs), yet every time I play one of these, on my PAL PS3 Super Slim with HEN, the sound is several octaves lower. The games play well. It's just the sound is a little off.

So I am wondering, is there a solution to this problem? Is there a means of patching the PKGs to work better with the device, or am I missing something when playing them. If anyone can help me, please don't hesitate to do so.

Thread title is a little misleading because suggesting NTSC to PAL converstions.

It is not fault of disc image or package. You can do nothing about it other than volume up sound in TV. ;) Or maybe emulators have their own sound settings (while playing, press for few seconds PS Button)?

You have to force the 480p option in the PARAM.SFO. The PS1 games are booted by default in the video mode according to the console region.

He's talking about the pitch not the volume. The audio is slowed down because of the mismatched sample rate, as the 60 Hz content is played back at the 50 Hz.
