PS3 Q about Demon Souls update (or is it psn?)

I have hen on my super slim ps3. I've got mm and webman. I've installed Demon Souls successfully, but when i go to start the game it asks me to sign in. I do so. Then it asks me to download a system software update. What should i do? I don't want to damage my PS3 or revert it back to non hen by installing this update.

Ah wait you can just play offline lol. Ahem. But as a wider question, is it safe to install any update when prompted to by a PS3 backup? Cheers

if you're not on 4.91, it will force an update. I think 4.91 is mandatory anyway. are you sure it's a system update? it will ask to install a system update while on the xmb, while a game update will actually have you enter the game first iirc. you can install hen on 4.91 though, so afaik, there's nothing to worry about. installing an ofw update will revert you back to non hen. you need hfw these days, which is a simple update install via usb, but I don't know how to install hen from there on as I've never used it. I only have experience with cfw.

It's the game update, which includes bug fixes and other tweaks made after the game's release. You can update it from XMB without having to connect to PSN, if you want to be 100% safe.
