PS3 Question about WebMan mod

Hey guys
I have two questions about webman:

1- First of all, I wanted to know that is it safe to use webman "default" dynamic fan control settings? I really don't care about the noise, just wanted to make sure that it can be effective and also safe for both cpu and rsx.

2- In fan control settings, what is the difference between "syscon" option and dynamic fan control "off"? Aren't they the same?

- PS3 Slim - 320gb
- Ferrox 4.86 Cobra
- Webman mod 1.47.30

Syscon is the default fan profile that sony implemented (technically, syscon is a chip that manages the hardware on the ps3, but in this case, we're talking about fan profiles)

I must admit, it's been some time since I powered on my ps3... I cant remember the different profiles.
Syscon, is the one I mentioned.
Auto has a slightly more aggressive fan arch/curve.
Auto2...? I cant remember this newer profile that aldostools added.
Manual is exactly as it says on the tin. But dont push near 90%, its mad jet engine vibes.

EDIT - Auto 2 is just like Auto 1 but less aggressive fan arch/curve, ramping up at a slower pace instead of a large increase once a specified temp is hit.

Yes, it is completely safe. I use manual at 35% which keeps both cpu and rsx between 65°C - 70°C. Some demanding games require 40%.

If you want to use auto, auto# 2 or manual, you have to keep dynamic fan control ON. Turning it OFF automatically switches to Syscon mode.
