PS3 Question , play game on external hard drive

Hello guys , so straight to the point , my ps3 storage is 150GB and i wanted to freedup some space bu copying my games to external hard drive , i just copied gta v from ps3 hdd to external,but all gta data is in the hdd , and when i boot up the game it shows like i have no data and it starts installing the 8GB requirements file , so my question is , how can i play in external hard drive while all the game data is in ps3 HDD

You can use external game data redirecting with GAMEI now webMAN tends to not work as well as a dedicated game manager like IRISMAN. Now even then it isn't a 100% way of doing this. Some are hardcode a certain way. You can also use PS3Liberator by Rudi it can work converting some PKG games to ISO. I did this for a few of my PSN only games as I load off a NAS.

And you can use this app to get some more space as well. It is also built into EvilNat's last few firmwares as well.
