PS3 Questions about problematic back-compat games on CECHA/CHECHB models

Hi,

Not sure if this topic belongs here or not sorry.
There's a list for the games played on the PS3 with the Classics Emulator here: https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS1_Classics_Emulator_Compatibility_List
I scanned through the list and took note of all the USA Region PSX games which were reported to have problems and I'm trying to get them working on my console. Here's the work I've done so far and I have some questions towards the end.
A note about the PS2 compatibility: I highly suspect full hardware backward-compatible PS3's have 100% compatibility with PS2 games. I suggest the people reporting problems actually have some kind of hardware damage, e.g. bad capacitors.

PSX

Not working, blank screen after loading.
No known fix. Converting to .pkg does not fix:
- Formula One 99 [SLUS-00870]
- Formula One 2000 [SLUS-01134]

Needed krHACKen patch to work:
- Ninja - Shadow of Darkness [SLUS-00435]
- Tomb Raider (Rev 6) [SLUS-00152CE]
- Tomb Raider II - Starring Lara Croft (Rev 3) [SLUS-00437]

Games which needed to be converted to .pkg with POP-FE to work:
(I intend to verify the original problem and then confirm that converting to .pkg fixes the original problem.)

Alien Resurrection

psdevwiki.com: Game needs to be converted to EBOOT with POP-FE, or PPF needs to be applied to BIN. Otherwise, one of the doors will not open in level 3, as well as some other doors and other possible issues.
My Notes: Not tested.

Alien Trilogy

psdevwiki.com: NTSC version is required to be in EBOOT.PBP format with CDDA tracks converted to ATRAC3 (using POP-FE, or similar program) to fix audio tracks not looping properly.
My Notes: Not tested.

Disney's 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue

psdevwiki.com: [BIN/CUE] The console will hard freeze in Level 18 whenever you attack the toaster enemy at the start of the level, rendering 100 percent impossible. Issue does not happen on converted game to EBOOT.PBP format and seems to be Cobra-exclusive.
My Notes: Not tested.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy
(Rev 1)
psdevwiki.com: Game needs to be converted to EBOOT with POP-FE, or PPF needs to be applied to BIN. Otherwise, freeze at end of continue screen or Lost Treasures of Shao Kahn. This is due to a bug in the PS1 BIOS on PS3, also affecting the PS2.
My Notes: Tested on .pkg and there's no music in battles or in other sections of the game. Also, converting to .pkg did not fix the freezing at the end out the continue countdown.

Rascal

psdevwiki.com: NTSC version is required to be in EBOOT.PBP format with CDDA tracks converted to ATRAC3 (using POP-FE, or similar program).
My Notes: Not tested.

Shrek Treasure Hunt

psdevwiki.com: Config fixes hang during loading screen into minigames. Game needs to be converted to EBOOT with POP-FE.
My Notes: Not tested.

Swagman

psdevwiki.com: NTSC version is required to be in EBOOT.PBP format with CDDA tracks converted to ATRAC3 (using POP-FE, or similar program).
My Notes: Not tested.

Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals

psdevwiki.com: Config fixes black screen after intro FMV. Game needs to be converted to EBOOT with POP-FE.
My Notes: Original .bin & .cue displayed a black screen after intro FMV. Converting to EBOOT with POP-FE fixed this.

Vampire Hunter D

psdevwiki.com: Experimental config fixes hangs on some door transitions and other issues (needs testing). Game needs to be converted to EBOOT with POP-FE. On ps1_emu, missing title screen and missing graphical effects during gameplay, such as areas on the map being highlighted in certain points of the game.
My Notes: Not tested.

PS2
I found this list for PS2 compatibility: https://en.everybodywiki.com/List_of_PlayStation_2_games_compatible_with_PlayStation_3#A
Scanning through the list shows a total of 4 games have been reported as having compatibility issues:

Game Name: Orphen: Scion of Sorcery [SLUS-20011]
https://en.everybodywiki.com/: Not compatible with CECHA/CECHB. Game will hang during a random in-game cutscene, Cleo's scenario is unplayable due to frequent hanging. Cutscenes are not skip-able forcing constant restarts. To bypass, eject the disc prior to the cutscene that hung on restart though this isn't guaranteed to always work.
My notes: I played for about 15 minutes and did not notice any issues. I suspect this game will show issues with further testing.

Game Name: Spartan: Total Warrior [SLUS-21212]
https://en.everybodywiki.com/: Not compatible with CECHA/CECHB. Freezes and out of sync audio on opening cutscene.
My notes: I tested this and did not get any freezing or sync issues in opening cut scene. It worked 100%.

Game Name: Tomb Raider: Underworld [SLUS-21858]
https://en.everybodywiki.com/: Not compatible with CECHA/CECHB.
My notes: Played for about 30 minutes with no problems.

Game Name: Wild Arms 5 [SLUS-21615]
https://en.everybodywiki.com/: Not compatible with CECHA/CECHB.
My notes: I played for about 15 minutes and did not encounter any issues.

QUESTIONS:

1. Is the PS2 Classics Emulator named "ps1_netemu.self" in the PS3?

2. I couldn't find a compatibility list for PS2 games played with full hardware on https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/.
Is there such a list on the psdevwiki site?

3. When trying to launch PSX games converted to .pkg sometimes they came up with an error when attempting to load the game. It said: An error occurred during the start operation (80028F17)
How to re-create this error: turn on PS3 & launch any PSX .bin & .cue game. Close the game and then attempt to open a .pkg PSX game.
Restarting the console allowed me to launch the .pkg games without the error.
Is there a way to avoid this problem without having to restart the console?

4. Any known fixes for for the games I have confirmed to be not working correctly; Formula One 99, Formula One 2000, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, & Tomb Raider: Underworld?

Thanks in advance!

Ad1. All models getting all emulators for all emulated/virtualised platforms.

Ad2. On dev wiki no if I'm correct but Sony have such list. And back in time on many sites such community lists was.

If Sony had such a list, it's not on the internet now.
I believe I found a link to it but it was removed by Sony.
It could be possible to locate it again using "Wayback Machine" but I would need to find the original URL.

Update: I found the original URL for the Europe Region Backwards compatibility page:
https://web.archive.org/web/20080717182703/http://faq.eu.playstation.com/bc/bcGames.htm
But, it hasn't archived the actual lists, e.g.: 0-9, A, B, C, etc.

Just says: "Hrm. The Wayback Machine has not archived that URL."

Sony's official list would be useful.
