Hello there,
I wanted to unlock a trophy in a game I already played back in 2013, and for personal reasons, I would want the timestamp to be back in the year 2013 when it is synced to PSN. So I started researching a bit on that topic and found several people claiming that the timestamp of a trophy to sync can't be before the date of the last trophy sync. Now I wanted to ask, is this correct? And if so, why is that? I was thinking of an example scenario that may be unlikely but not impossible:
A person buys two PS3 consoles in the year 2012. One for regular and online use (console A), and the other for backup or for traveling, that was never synced to PSN (console B). Now let's say the player unlocks trophies on a certain game on console A in the year 2013 and syncs them to PSN. In the same year, he goes abroad and starts playing the same game on console B, even unlocking trophies he did not have on console A but never syncs them because console B is not connected to PSN. The trophies should have the timestamp of the PS3's time and date setting, right? After the player comes back home, he begins to use console A as his main console again, unlocking trophies in said game even up to today's date. But there are some he did not unlock, but he remembered he had them unlocked on console B. So he boots up console B, signs into his PSN account, and syncs the trophies he unlocked back in the year 2013, but on today's date.
How would PSN handle that sync? Would it show the correct timestamp on PSN, or would it just be blank or show today's date? Would it maybe throw an error? My example just takes legit unlocking into consideration, but this scenario could be recreated with CFW possibilities, so maybe somebody has already tried this?
Would be great if somebody could answer my questions. Thank you in advance!
