Hello, so I'm trying to install OFW 2.80 on my PS3, i already installed Rebug 3.55.4 999 Downgrader, but since I'm using a fat console my touch button doesn't work that well and I'm not able to get into recovery mode using the touch button, but Rebug Toolbox version 02.03.04 is installed on my PS3, since it's a newer Rebug Toolbox version, can I use the "Toggle Recovery Mode" on Toolbox even though I'm on 3.55? Is it safe?

3.55 Downgraders purpose is to downgrade from higher firmware to allow install of OFW/CFW 3.55.

And You doing everything wrong. Just use CFW on which You can set QA flag. Doing that, allows You to install any fw version higher or equal to factory fw version (and be sure not left any game in drive as update will be performed from there, no matter if You choose USB or HDD).

Yes, Recovery Mode is safe (it is the same as button combo on a console). Not safe is Factory Service Mode if You don't know what are You doing.

If Your touch buttons "doesn't work well", then how do You turning PS3 on?

I tried everything to downgrade my firmware and it didn't work, this is the only way I was able to actually downgrade it, my touch button works fine for pressing, not so much for holding unless you hold it pretty firm.
