PS3 Rebugification - A PS3 Theme By Berion

As many of us like to do with any device from time to time is to spice things up a bit with some visual candy. That is why most of us enjoy a custom firmware PS3. This release is for any PlayStation 3 owner because any consoles running official firmware or custom firmware can install themes. Although judging by the name we can see where it draws it inspiration from. Rebugification is the name of this awesome theme, which I already installed on my PS3, and created by Berion.​

Release Notes: Installation Instructions:

• 
  Rebugification v1.0 (PS3-P3T). I hope You will enjoy it. This cost me many hours and nerves fighting with broken export plugins and broken GIM format.

  • Save to a USB Device (FAT32 formatted)
  • Create a folder called PS3
  • Create a folder called THEME (ALL CAPS)
  • Add the Rebugification (by Berion) v1.0.p3t file into the THEME folder
  • Plug USB into your PS3
  • Go to themes
  • Select install
  • Select USB device
  • Select Rebugification

Thanks. If I have more control over *.gim it will be much better. Some icons have artefacts on edges due to shitty colour reduction made by Sony app. I hope PS4 don't using this junk, but *.png like PSV.

 

This theme is great, I have added it to the XMBPD theme section in its own slot above all the subcategories, I also added the webMAN_MOD_1.45.09_Updater_rebugification_theme.pkg and webMAN_MOD_1.45.09_Updater_metalification_theme.pkg's to the manager section.

Hey @Berion, would you mind if I altered the icons? The light bit on the icons is starting to shun my eyes so I want to make it darker or red instead.

@nightwind84 Theme description in English is fixed (I hope ^^) and replaced Network main category icon to one less shiny (it was inconsistent with others).

@Berion if you have time could you make icons for xmpd and webman launchpad to match the rebugification theme then my ps3 would be truly rebugified.

 

@Phil For XMBPD I have already complete set (at least for the version when Metalification rise because I don't know if there are some new) but I didn't yet cut them. For LP it will also be quick because all icons are the same as WMM, only discs icons need tweaking. However, for now the XMB icons (those from RCO) are top priority (I have sweet shiny progress bar ^^). Give me one month in total and You will get also MM and RetroArch theme.

Dropbox just killed public folders and users from now must generate links.

BTW: In this week I'll publish Rebugificated XMBM+ with reorganized menus and resources, integrated XMBPD (maybe in Lite form, without links to roms, ;] wallpapers etc?), BPM and maybe moved Settings sub category from WebMAN Mod. ^^

Metalification currently is availble only for WebMAN Mod (in ready to go installer at @aldostools git) and XMBPD (default theme).

it could be that it's in an rco file. most, if not all, icons from the icontex are used. one of the firmware updates allowed for theme support. this is just my speculation though.
