PS3 Remove and reconnect HDD is ok?

This might be a stupid question, but if I remove the PS3's HDD, dd it to my computer and put it back in the PS3, will there be any issues?

As long as your OS doesn't execute some kind of auto mounting on it, and prompt the user to format it, you should be good.

I'm using a forensics write blocker so that's not a concern.

Then you should not have any issues with your PS3 HDD after you make the image.
