PS3 Resetting doesn't work

Controller will not sync. Even put it in a wall charger overnight. I get the infinity flashes when I try to sync up. I have 2 controllers and both do it. I had one controller charging on the PS3 (still not syncing) and the other controller started working when I tried syncing it. That happened only one other time before. Somehow when there's 2 controllers interacting with it at once then one will work but that only happened twice.
