No as they have the same title ID is short answer. But there is a possibility you can change the ID of one installation to have them both

thanks @bitsbubba .. well I may have to change that id. or I can just put it on a different ps3... I make set ups for people all the time so I will just put it in one, use it for a bit and either leave it or delete it and put the old one on it and sell off the system as usual :)

thanks again

Hello guys, thanks @Ezio and involved.
Does anyone know if there is a NEO GEO CD emulator for ps3?
Fbalpha2012 can load neo geo roms, not sure about neo geo cd games.

Has anyone tried netplay? I'd love to see how well it works but I need some competition!
Yes, i tested it on ps3 and on vita (it's already usable on vita in the nightlies!) with the developer who fixed netplay for all the platforms, it works fine but there's still something to fix. The guy was on linux and i was on ps3 and vita, we tried ninja turtles on nestopia core, it has been pretty fun. :)
Basically fceumm, nestopia and gambatte allow the crossplatform netplay, while the netplay on the other cores should work only between similar platforms (ps3 with ps3, vita with vita, etc.). Said it, i invite anyone to test netplay, maybe the crossplatform works also on more cores than what it should be possible, you never know.

Hello guys, thanks @Ezio and involved.
someone KNOWS WHEN Is Launched A version stealth?
Yes, it can be done, it's pretty easy to do. I'll do it for cex and dex once i get the title id from a new demo of the playstation store. ;)

Here I go again, kindly requesting a mobile-friendly mirror (CEX version).

@Ezio, in the future, will nightlies be available from the libretro site, like other RetroArch platforms are? (then I won't have to nag about mirrors :) ) Seems to me that it would be simpler to provide updated cores and let users grab whatever they want, instead of bundling everything into a PKG. Then again, I'm assuming that every PS3 user has a file-manager on their system. Of course, if there are updated assets/shaders/overlays/info/ etc., a PKG would make sense.

I do not think they want to have a buildbot hosted on the site that is compiling the official sdk files.? just an assumption. if we seen a fully working psl1ght version that could change,

I tried the "scanning file", it froze the screen but the HDD LED was blinking, so i guessed it was rly scanning the directories but after 10 mins I forced the system to turn OFF, I have lot of roms... . I juste wanted to play So, I played 2 hours without any issues. I had lot of flashbacks ^^'

Great ps3 homebrew, definitly my favorite, thanks to you :p

Here you go for cex build. www.sendspace.com/file/urqka1

Yes, nightlies should be available in the next future. Tbh i thought they would have already been available at this time...

I'll try to give a latest chance to psl1ght but i cannot promise anything. We got with @Zar it compiled but it gave blackscreen, i hope that the things are better now using psgl since rsxgl isn't yet complete enough to make retroarch working.

@Zar please verify if scan works, i was working on it today since scan seems working but no new column is shown up after scanning is finished.

oh and what about FB Alpha RL 1.0.3 ? If I install this new retroarch will that interfere with the FB Alpha RL at all? Im guessing not since this is a different I.D. but just want to make sure as it uses retroarch in its build.

thanks

Thanks for testing, i spent the last weekend trying to fix it but no luck yet :(

Though i used the same code (modified for ps3 target) that allowed the scan to work on vita! It is pretty annoying ps3 hasn't the same behaviour than vita, i guess i need to try still some other solution.

FBA Retro Loader is a seperate app, it doens't interact with RetroArch.

Has anybody gotten the ZX Spectrum core to work? Every game I load just eventually shows a blank white screen. Tested the roms on ZXdroid, they work fine. Not a bios issue, either - no bios is required.

(ZX)81 core emulates a number of ZX80, ZX81, clones, and other computers based on the same hardware, not just ZX Spectrum. You can take a look here https://github.com/libretro/81-libretro

If you want to emulate Spectrum you need fuse core that currently doesn't work on ps3 (it works on vita though).
