PS3 [RPCS3 RELEATED] What's the minimal OFW version possible to run on PS3 Emulator?

Hello.

I've been testing RPCS3 for quite a while now.

And i've heard it is possible ONLY downgrade to any 4.XX FW [I got this answer from an tester on RPCS3 official Discord server]

And thats untrue, as it is "somehow" possible to run 3.55

But today, i've gotten below that... 3.50.

I'm just doing this for fun. Anyways, im waiting for an answer

Any answer will be appreciated.

At the moment, i've got to 3.00 Firmware with no problems somehow
Even the OtherOS option is showing.
I am installing 2.80, it's taking an long time (around 2 hours).

FW 1.00 was only released installed with launch consoles, never on PUP format so you won't find it anywhere.

Yeah 1.00 FW is impossible due to it being installed on retail consoles (CECHA, CECHB)

I've saw someone do the same, and they had problem with installing 2.50? I will install 2.60 and then 2.44.

AAAAAAND I've reached it. 2.60 FW Dosen't work. RPCS3 XMB crashes.
I will try 2.73 or 2.70 tommorow. It takes around 3 hours to install, and I dont have time for that today.

Oh, I was thinking of prototype firmware which is like 0.98 or something.

I'll bet that minimum is 2.73 or 2.70 at the moment.
There is still possiblity to change files in the dev_flash files

Except coreos isn't a part of dev_flash. I think the file that displays firmware version is the vsh.self, and creating a franken-firmware will likely cause problems.

Atleast 2.80 worked which is way better than 4.XX or just 3.55
