Hi all,
Have a PS2 39004 that I revived having found a blown 3v fuse (one of the modchip wires possibly touched the heatsink or ground.
I uninstalled the modchip once and attempted to load original games and dvd video. It has this strange glitching sound as it boots and reads discs incorrectly. Note, no graphical artifacts are present on screen(to indicate hardware failure)
PS2 discs (backup and original) are read as DVD video, CD based discs are read as Blue Label PS2 discs, and DVD video most of the time are read right, but refuse to launch with the error "The DVD Player is not set up"(this applies to the ps2 games as well).
Having reinstalled the modchip( a matrix infinity 1.99 clone) has no effect on this either. Entry point discs that have Ulaunch and the like also don't work.
