Seeking recovery help for my CECHA model

So it's been a doozy of a day. I was attempting to install a 1.5 tb hd to my ps3 and things went basically horrible. I was following instructions given to me by a fellow member (not saying it was his fault, something else went wrong). He instructed me to downgrade to 4.46 CFW (I used habib 4.46), then do the typical drive swap. Things initially seemed to go okay, it did a quick format of the drive and it was booting normally as it should. I then was trying to go back up to 4.88 Evilnat CFW. I attempted to update via the XMB, it then proceeded as normal, but instead of taking me into the screen where it does the update, it shut my console off. It then would not boot into the XMB. From this point forward, I have not been able to get it to recognize either this drive, or any other drive I put into the caddy. It's saying "the system storage cannot be accessed". It won't boot into the XMB, and it won't let me accomplish anything in recovery without getting this message. I do have 2 backup dumps for this console taken from it when it was on 4.88 I believe. Has anyone ever seen an issue like this? or had to recover a console from this bricked state it seems to be in? I'm really kicking my own ass right now for trying this. Wish I would of just stuck with my 1 tb and hung out on 4.88 CFW. Anyt advice is appreciated

The first thing I don't understand is why you made a downgrade if you already was on 4.88. From what I know, there's no need to flash anything on this fat by only a HDD replacement. Everything including the firmware is stored in both NANDs, so if you put a blank HDD, the console will only ask to flash it and that's all. You'll probably need to make a full format of the system in options to get a fresh start.

With this problem you could start by formating the HDD with a computer, let it empty, and try re installing 4.88. If you can't, repeat, and this time try with the 4.46 CFW you used before.

Asumming you didn't change any wierd CFW option, you shouldn't have any trouble. Also, update FW from recovery next time.

Is ur console currently booting and asking for update data? Are u able to send an image of what's popping up to you when u turn on the console?

The ps3 is not booting into XMB anymore. Only reason i tried going back to 4.46 CFW is because that was what I was told was needed in order for this to accept a 1.5 tb hd, then i was told I could go back to CFW of my choice. Unfortunately the ps3 is not letting me do anything at this point. I can't get it to recognize any hd I put in it, even in recovery mode. It won't let me into the XMB either. It boots, you can tell it's trying to read the HDD, but then it just shuts itself off. I'm definitely very experienced with the usual options to get it at least back up and going. It's refusing to read any HD and it wont let me do any of the recovery options without failing. It just keeps telling me "the system storage cannot be accessed". I've also tried re-formatting several of these on the pc then popping it back in. Same results. I'm stumped... I feel like the flash got corrupted when I tried to go back up to a higher CFW even though it technically didn't even get to that screen for installing. It scanned the CFW like it was copying it to the storage, then just shut itself off instead of continuing like the usual install process.

It could be a hardware issue related with the HDD controller. If your console is trying to read the HDD and led is blinking, and you have an error, it could be. I never had this issue before, so I can't help you with that :/

Better wait for other users to come with better advices.

If you are able to access safe mode then try a 3.55 ROGERO downgrade. Unfortunately these NAND memories give problems, I've had bizarre problems with CECHA that don't normally occur on other console models. I don't think it will succeed but try to downgrade 3.55 ROGERO.

I appreciate the suggestion but i'm not sure why it would take a 3.55 Rogero downgrade if it won't even take 4.46 OFW. The issue is the console is refusing to even acknowledge any hd i put into it now. 60 gb, 320 gb, 1 tb, 1.5 tb. Something went severely wrong it seems. I've never seen anything like this. Rogero 3.55 downgrader isn't available on that link as well just so you know.
