SEN Enabler

SEN Enabler - Tutorial & Latest Releases 6.2.7

I did this before, but the safe mode not work
Remove the hdd and the ps not work
Format the hard drive disk in low level mode and not work
The same thing, the ps3 not work. And now i know 3 persons with the same problem, a ps3 fat 4.82 with brick for desactivate the acces to psn

Looks like a full brick. Help:'(
Well if it's a full brick, which it seems to be from what you are saying, then there is no way to fix it without a hardware Flasher. It sound like people are not using sen enabler correctly, maybe using old version, or maybe applying a spoof to 4.82 when it is already the latest or some other user error. If sen enabler had a critical bug on fats I think it would show up more often.

Can you tell us how you and the 3 others used it as it might prevent others from doing the same?

I come from a forum where all speak spanish, in wich i found a topic that talked about problems when using Sen Enabler

4 of 10 cases were not saved, because 6 only had to remove the hdd

We, the other 4, have a ps3 fat cfw cobra on 4.82 using the latest version of sen enabler

And its correct , in the 4 cases we disable the access to psn and the PS reboot but never turn on

In conclusion we moved without knowing, but, what ensures that there will be no more cases like this
I just want know from the creator what does the specific option(disable acces to psn) on the console

I dont have a flasher, and in my city i cant find one, less find a technician

Dam..that's not good...sorry to hear that. Maybe there is a critical bug, is your console a NAND (older 60Gb PS2 compatible)?

Yes,a compatible console with ps2

And the other 3 persons have the ps3 fat with NAND . One a ps3 80 gb , 40 gb and the last a 60 gb retrocompatible

If I understand correctly nor consoles can recover by formatting/changing HDD?

That would point to a part of the fw that is stored on the virtual flash.
So in that case anyone with a nor could test without real danger (except data loss, but even that could be read from PC)...

I never used sen enabler since I installed psn patch first and loved it (easy to use & it does all I need), so I never felt like changing to sen enabler.

FYI @Evilnat

wih so many new PS3 user's and also so many new people playing expert. There is some mis-informed people on how to use some of the functions of apps like SEN Enabler and others. Many of the reports i have heard on other apps are alot of times from user error.

Dude, you never told all that details, neither the other people... this is why i was not sure which consoles was affected, or what you was doing exactly at the time the PS3 stopped working

This is the first time i see a good report

And welcome to the forum :)

I dont want recover my ps3 , all i want right now is the prevention to the other users, could be a serious problem...

You should write it in english yes, or at least a google translation pasted together with the spanish text :P

Im going to translate it resumed for other people to read it, what you are saying is:
-3 more people with PS3 fat had this problem (and was PS3 fat models with NAND... not NOR)
-another 6 had the problem, but because it was a PS3 slim (with NOR) his solution was to format hdd in PC
-in your case... you are 100% sure the problem happened when disabling PSN access, right ?

Other than preventing other people to have this problem.... is interesting to know what happened exactly
My guess is some flash contents has been corrupted
And to fix that is needed to attach a hardware flasher to the PS3 motherboard (to have direct read write access to the flash chip/s)

But we need to know which area or files inside the flash has been corrupted !
The chances of repairing the PS3 depends of that

Is correct, im sure . The problem: turn on my ps3 ,access to sen enabler , go to the options and disable the acces to psn, only for a test (a bad decision)

After the ps3 reboot and black screen forever
All i can see is the green light of power and a short times the yellow light of hdd

I'm sure , this not is the only problem or bug with sen enabler, but is really serious

Is for this my question

How works exactly this option? (Enable/Disable access to psn)
I need a answer from the creator(s) of this software

Im not so used to sen enabler to throw to you some questions that could help to identify where is the problem but hopefully there is some people here in the forum that could imagine which info is needed to know, like...
-other details of your sen enabler setup
-versions of firmware/sen enabler that could affect
-whatever

maybe there are some issues in sen enabler after all. i also had weird situation in this new version and like i said earlier, i never had every single issue with sen enabler until ver. 6.0.6, turned out my buddy had the similar situation with new version, but he had even more issues, first he coudn't enabled sen access, because ps3 constantly shutdown, later he had same issue as me, ps3 shutdown when he tried to hide info and the end he couldn't restore cfw mode, because ps3 constantly shutdown. similar issues and we are on different firmwares

edit:

from Evilnat twitter:

"Hello , i used when i turned sen access off and rebooted it stuck in a black screen"

i noticed more users have this issue on other forums
