SEN Enabler

SEN Enabler - Tutorial & Latest Releases 6.2.7

Great job Nathan, as usual !! Did you forget to include the plugin in Plugin folder of the rar? Or should I look somewhere else? Thanks!

BTW I have published it on Brewology
http://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=283

Thank so much Aldo! I didn't include SEN_Enabler.sprx this time because now loads PNG from /dev_hdd0 and not from memory and SEN Enabler will install PNG and sprx to his correct path, this is current path build:

Background.png - /dev_hdd0/plugins/SEN_Enabler/background.png
SEN_Enabler.sprx
- /dev_hdd0/plugins/SEN_Enabler/SEN_Enabler.sprx

I uploaded those files here :)

I suggested. Could you add background chooser anime, SEN-Enabler original, etc? Would be great.

Yeah i can add a background chooser, checking if exist more PNG files in SEN Enabler plugin folder and switch them

Regards
Thank you! I'm happy with this new suggestion has been implemented.

PNG? Of course, PNG has better than JPG, JPE, JPEG, JPG.

Hello ! :D
I have problem with the ModNation Racers (BCES-00764)
I'm on Rebug 4.82.2 REX and SEN enabler v6.0.8.
It infinite load the game at the beginning. :(
I tested it with MGS V and it works fine.

infinite loading usually means missing or corrupt files. I think some games have a toc to detect this at boot up.

I decided to create an account for this place due to my concern for this application. Despite the posts with broken english, I've noticed that using SEN Enabler can cause the user's console to brick.

My question is, why is that? What exactly is causing the brick, human error or some sort of bug for this app? What are some precautions one should take before using this app in its current 6.0.8 build? So far, it seems as if one cause of this brick is users disabling psn access in the SEN Enabler menu. This is the only one that Im aware of from this forum and other locations along with some form of spoofing gone wrong.

not sure. many people have reported that there's bug in which ps2 games won't work correctly, and it seems to carry over from firmware to firmware. there's also another bug, that I found, in which the app kicks you out if you have a low battery with the controller. this may have been corrected in the latest version.

sen enabler is more advanced than psn patch, so it's easy to screw something up if you don't know what you're doing.

Thanks for the reply. So for your average user, would you recommend using psnpatch over sen enabler? Psnpatch seems to be the foolproof app since you can't really mess anything up by holding (X) when launching it.

What would you advice not to do with sen enabler to a person with no skill with programming etc, to avoid potential bricks or other harmful cause to the user's console? What should be avoided once the program is launched in the console?

yes, I would suggest psn patch for the average user. it can do the same thing. sen enabler is more for the advanced user.

Well the game works fine without the "online" part.
I loads forever when i do the "R2+triangle" from webman mod while i use sen enabler.
Actually can be webman's mod problem, or conflict of both.

unknown. try to uninstall sen enabler and see what happens. I don't believe @Evilnat is working on sen enabler anymore beyond updating it for future firmwares, so bug fixes seems unlikely.

It was a problem of a previous version of SENenabler but it was fixed in the latest version
So be sure you are using the latest version

And if you or someoene had that brick that happened (as you described very well: "when disabling psn access in the SEN Enabler menu")... the fix depends of the flash type of your PS3 model:

PS3 with NOR flash - fixed by formatting the hdd in PC
PS3 with NAND flash - fixed by restoring a flash dump made previouslly to the brick (is needed a hardware flasher to fix this case)

seems that's it's not problem from SEN enabler after all.
With enabled SEN enabler but without to do r2+triangle.
Looks like for conflict with webman mod.
