Hello,

I received a backwards compatible PS3 60 GB on the the American launch from a relative that was in the US at the time, meaning that it is the CECHA01. It's getting awfully close to becoming 16 years old at this point, so I consider myself lucky that I haven't gotten the YLOD yet. And, for obvious reasons, this is something I want to avoid.

I am, however, located in Europe, and would preferably have all work on it done by someone in Europe as well due to the extremely high shipping costs of sending the unit back and forth.

I replaced the thermal paste on the CPU/GPU a few years ago, but that's all that's been done on it. It reaches very high temperatures after less than 60 minutes of play, and the fans sound like a jet engine at times.

So, I'm looking for someone that can help me with everything that needs to be done with this specific unit to make it as future proofed as possible, as well as quiet. Again, preferably someone in Europe, but if I have no other choice, then the US is also an option, as I don't want to settle for a slim/super slim model.

While I do have modified PS1 and modified PS2 units, the idea is to be able to let them go to someone that needs them better than I do after my PS3 has been worked on.

I have extensive knowledge of other consoles and repairs of them, but the PS3 is way out of my league unfortunately.

Any suggestions on where to find someone that can help me with all of this?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for letting me know!

I've just send you a message over ebay now.
Yep, and I gave you a message to your email but I haven't heard back. I'm extremely busy with PS3 projects at the moment so if you wanted me to do a referb on your console, I would need to do this in my own time.
