Should I use scart or buy component cable

Hello there, so I got Myself PS2 and was wondering if I should stick to the composit to scart adapter or buy component cable for the best quality, and also want to try 1080i but to my knowledge it's only on component cable

Component all the way, but look for a cable with good ratings/recommendations.

I have a SCART cable, it's much crisper and rich in colour compared to the default cable but i can't enable progressive mode with it .
I'd go with a thick component cable . Some games have progressive mode but they will lose colour fidelity when enabling .

both RGB scart and component will produce almost identical results. RGB scart is the purest form of producing video on TV, compared to component.

1080i in games is upscaled.

third party component ps2 cables are OK, will perform as good as official.
