PS3 (Solved) PS3 Does not accept cfw pup it's been on - help needed

So i have a 2504b which is cfwable, and had rebug 4.84.2 rex on it. Two days ago the HDD in this ps3 decided to randomly give up on me so i swapped it with another one. Console was on DEX mode, qa flagged, and spoofed to 4.86 to allow me to play online. And when I try to install the firmware back again, this screen pops up:

I've tried to install firmware it had initially, 4.86 ofw, 4.86 HFW but no luck. I do have NOR backups on my flash (rebug autosaved before swapping to DEX). Is there any way i can fix it without flashing the nor with hardware flasher? But if not, what flasher should i get?

If your system is on dex you can't use a cex update. Try using drex instead of rex.

i think some kinds of spoofing can cause this problem...if you converted to dex then ofw/hfw wont work because they are cex...if by "dex mode" you mean vsh was dex then you should still be on cex...

have you tried:

rebug 486 lite
rebug 484 rex and drex
pasta dex
ofw 486
