[Solved] Xbox 360 Phat Power Button Non Functional

Hello, so i recently got an Xbox 360 chipped with a Rev C Coolrunner running RGH 1.2, but the power button on the main unit itself has stopped working completely, i can still turn on the system with my controller though and the LED's are working fine. Could it be that the button itself has broken or could it be as simple as a cable reseat?

Thanks.

EDIT: I should add that the Front Panel LED's are modded as well to be custom colours.

It's not common for the power button itself to go bad, unless someone knocked it hard. If the LEDs are functional sounds like the power board is ok. Maybe front bezel is the culprit. Sometimes the plastic there breaks.

Try to press the power button with the bezel off. Just use a q tip. Sometimes you see the plastic square that goes over the power button installed upside down preventing power button to be pressed.

you may want to try Deoxit and press the power button about 20 times then flush the Deoxit out with IPA or Contact Cleaner.

Unfortunately this is the first thing i tried, i've pressed it plenty of times with a screwdriver and nothing. I think the power button on the board itself has broken. I've ordered another RF board to fix it and see if that is the case.
