Hello guys,
i need your help to solve this issue, i really have tried everything.
i have a FAT PS3 stuck on OFW 2.60, the update will get error 8002f147 at 17%
  • tried via internet update
  • tried via update from original game
  • tried with usb stick in fat32 (the usb stick successfully update 2 other ps3)
so i have :
  • cleaned entirely the ps3, change cmos 24 after remove the previous one and change thermal paste.
  • tried to swap with another BD Drive / change the bd cable with a another one
  • change HDD with fat32 // tried via ntfs and these drive are ok on other ps3
i read all tips online to fix it but i doesn't work
Do you have an idea to update to OFW 4.91 or CFW ? what are my options ?

I tried to swap with another bd drive from a working ps3 fat but it does not work
What is the work around to be able to update it ?

since you're on 2.60, you may be able to install a no bd cfw directly. iirc, it should work without having to patch anything, since you're below 3.55. however, it may want you to update to 3.55 first (not sure). there's an evilnat nobd version. there's probably a 3.55 no bd version. if not, I think you can build it in mfw builder. I've never messed with 3.55 in that app though, just 4.xx.

I don't recall a noBD 3.55 CFW, but it's a must to install first version 3.55 before going to 4.xx.

The PS3 update process tends to break when going from FW < 3.55 to > 4.xx.

Did you swap the drive or the drive board? If you did swap the drive board you should make sure youre getting 5v and 12v into the drive

I only swap the drive....i will try to swipe the board to see if i am able to update it
How to check the voltage ?

if you have a broken bd drive, I gave you an update pup. it should work. though, I can't test it as I'm 100% legit. it won't harm a system with a working bd drive. it's an ofw 3.55 with no bd patched btw.

Thank you for your file ! the ps3 won't accept it, stuck at 17% with the same error 8002F147

OFW 2.60 > OFW 3.55 or CFW eg. Rebug 3.55.4 > CFW Rebug 4.86.1 Lite > CFW 4.9x Evilnat (for some reason, Evilnat cannot be installed over 3.55).

Your error code doesn't says anything about potential BD issue:

thank you for the process !

the ps3 won t let me upgraded it through internet, BD game or usb stick same error 8002F147

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what's wrong. I figured a no bd update would work.
