PS3 SuperSlim player very quiet

Hi, I recently bought a super slim PS3 here with the technician in town. I turned on the console and I notice that it doesn't make any noise, not a slight noise or anything. I put my ear to the video game to see if I could hear anything, but I hear like the cooler is pretty slow down, this was during the XMB.

As far as I can remember, he didn't get that hot, at least nothing out of the ordinary.

Is the super slim really like this or could the cooler be damaged?

You can simply JB it [install PS3HEN], install webMAN MOD and set the fan speed to 100%. If you hear the fan noise then everything is fine otherwise it might be broken.
