PS2 [Testers Needed] OPL internal exfat 2TB+ HDD and multi-BDM devices

Noob here. I have a question that I don't see an answer to. I've read this entire thread at least 3 times.

I have my PS2 with a Free McBoot memory card and have installed the latest version of OPL, 1.2.0.6-1996. I started putting ISO files on the hard drive and OPL does see any play them without any issues. I did find a collection of Cover Art that I downloaded and copied to the hard drive as well, but as a previous poster stated, loading the cover art is painfully slow and I figured I would try the UDMA OPL version to see if it helps.

I installed the OPNPS2LD_UDMA_PLUS.elf file and get it to open, but it does not see any files on my hard drive. Is there something else I'm supposed to do? I tried deleting the OPL seeing folder and letting the UDMA version setup it, but that didn't help. The hard drive I am using is a WD Blue drive that is UDMA 4 compatible according to the HardDriveTest program.
1. Format HDD to exFAT
2. Copy games to the DVD or CD folder (easy with OPL Manager).
3. When you start OPL, turn the BDM device ON in OPL settings, and the games will show up. Don't forget to save the settings.

Yes, I've used it
Be sure to defragment the HDD, because after creating the VMC using OPL, I received a notification that the HDD was fragmented.
1. I created multiple VMCs, organized by genre and transferred my old save files.
2. I enabled VMCs for each game individually using the OPL Manager
3. After that I defragmented the HDD

Does anyone know if Ace Combat 5 and Ace Combat Zero work with GrimDoomer version of OPL? I have a 2TB SSD configured as exFAT, and I can't get these two games to run correctly. Both games get to the main menu, but controller input isn't recognized. I tried every DMA mode, but none worked. Also, in order to get most of my games to run properly, I must change the mode to MDMA2, Is that normal? I'm not even sure the difference between these modes or why some work for some games and why others dont.

At least Ace Combat 5 is even not compatible with the original OPL (with recent versions):
https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/issues/966.

You can try older builds e.g. 0.9.2
howevever these builds do not support BDM (exFAT).

Wow I'm surprised there are still games not supported. I hope someone can get this project or another going to increase the number of games that's playable. I rather use a build that supports exFAT so I can use a bigger hdd.
